and Trigonometric Problem Solving – 2nd Edition. (2005) Consortium
for Foundation Mathematics. Pearson Addison Wesley.

and logarithmic functions and equations; graphs of quadratic, exponential, and
logarithmic functions; equations quadratic in form; operations on rational
expressions, radical expressions, and complex numbers; rational exponents;
applications.
Prerequisite: Grade of "C" or better in MAT090, MAT091, MAT092, MAT093, or equivalent, or a satisfactory score on the District placement exam.
Homework: Homework problems will be assigned for
each section we cover. Assignments will
be posted on the website. You are
expected to complete each problem by the given due date. Homework will be assigned daily in the class
and collected the following class period.
There will also be sections assigned over the weekends. You are to complete the sections and the
homework questions. They will be covered on the following Monday and will be
collected. They are part of your
homework grade!
Important:
You are only to turn in the even problems.
Homework should be completed neatly with numbers along the left margin. You may write on the front and back of the
page, but if multiple pages are used they must be stapled. Failure to comply with any of these
requirements will result in a loss of points.
Attendance: Attendance will not be
required but success in class has been shown to have a direct link with showing
up. If attendance slips I will notice so
please come to class.
Graphing Calculator: A graphing calculator is required for
this course. The suggested calculators include the TI-83 or TI-83 plus and the
Casio CFX-9850GB plus. You are responsible for knowing how your
calculator works! There are also calculator handouts etc on my website.
